Fresh Anointing House of Worship is a vibrant non-denominational, Spirit-led church located in Montgomery, Alabama, with a heart to reach people, build families, and transform communities through the power of God’s presence. We exist to Exalt the Lord, Extend the Kingdom, and Empower God’s People—a mission we carry out through passionate worship, solid biblical teaching, and intentional discipleship. Our gatherings are full of life, marked by freedom in the Holy Spirit and rooted in sound doctrine. OUR HISTORY

In 1982 Pastor Olu Itiola was sent by Deeper Life Bible Church in Lagos, Nigeria as a church-planting missionary to the United States. He started the first United States branch of Deeper Life Bible Church in Montgomery, AL in 1987. In 1993, Pastor Olu was called of God to move the headquarters of the U.S. churches to New York and passed the leadership mantle of the local church to Pastor Kyle Searcy. In 2000, under the leadership of Bishop Olu Itiola and the Holy Spirit, Fresh Anointing International Church was formed in Montgomery, AL with Pastor Kyle Searcy as Senior Pastor.

With the leading of the Holy Spirit and the blessing of Bishop Olu, we determined that the Lord was calling us to make the shift to launch out in a new and fresh way. Thus, Fresh Anointing House of Worship (FAHOW) was born in 2007 under the pastoral leadership of Kyle and Kemi Searcy. In 2007, we dedicated a 2000-seat sanctuary in a six-year-old, 37,200-square foot building on 376 acres of land in a celebration of the tremendous wealth transfer from the enemy's kingdom to the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus.  

2017 saw a new door opened in Montgomery with the church adding a second Montgomery campus, located at 6000 Monticello Dr.  

Bishop Kyle Searcy decided that Fresh Anointing House of Worship needed to be equipped for the generations to come. With prayerful consideration, he passed the mantle to Pastor Christopher K. Searcy in January of 2024 who continues to serve as Senior Pastor and carry out the original mission set forth by Bishop Kyle Searcy.

By the grace and favor of God, there are now nine FAHOW church plants throughout the southeast United States: 

Atlanta (Norcross), GA: Meridian, MS; Selma, AL; Augusta, GA; Wetumpka, AL, Birmingham, AL, Columbus, Ga, Nashville, TN, and Oswego, IL. Through the Fresh Oil International Fellowship of Churches, over 170 churches throughout parts of the African continent are under the leadership of this ministry. 

The membership at FAHOW in Montgomery has increased to nearly 2,000 and counting. The E3 vision for FAHOW Montgomery-Exalt, Extend, and Empower-was cast in 2008. The E3 vision focuses on three spiritual houses- the House of Worship, the House of Missions, and the House of Mercy.

Fresh Anointing is, and has always been, a ministry with a strong emphasis on prayer and a commitment to community transformation, one life at a time.  We are also a multi-racial, multi-generational, international ministry committed to fulfilling the mandate of Christ to make disciples of every people group possible.

Senior pastor here at Fresh Anointing House of Worship. Pastor Chris is first and foremost a lover of Jesus and keeper of the flame of his presence. He also attends to his first ministry as a husband and father, and from the overflow he leads our congregation into the presence of the Lord, and biblical understanding!

Pastor Trè (as he is affectionately called) Is a dynamic preacher of the gospel. He is first and foremost a dedicated husband to his wife Gloria and a father to four beautiful children. From the overflow of his leadership at home he helps strengthen FAHOW in immeasurable ways!

Craig Parker

Administrative Bishop

Bishop Parker serves as the Administrative Bishop at Fresh Anointing House of Worship, providing strategic oversight and operational leadership in support of the church’s mission and vision. With a heart for excellence and order, Bishop Parker helps ensure that the ministry functions with integrity, accountability, and effectiveness across all areas.

Committed to servant leadership, Bishop Parker works closely with pastoral leadership and ministry teams to strengthen structure, support growth, and steward resources wisely. This role is carried out with prayerful discernment and a deep passion for empowering God’s people to walk fully in their purpose.

Nyesha Cottrell

Director of Operations

Nyesha Cottrell serves as the Director of Operations at Fresh Anointing House of Worship, overseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the ministry. With a strong commitment to excellence and organization, she helps ensure that church operations run smoothly and in alignment with FAHOW’s mission and vision.

Working closely with leadership and ministry teams, Nyesha provides strategic support, coordination, and oversight that enable effective ministry and sustainable growth. Her leadership is marked by diligence, integrity, and a heart to serve, helping create an environment where both people and ministry can thrive.

Paul Searcy

Technical Director

Paul Searcy serves as the Technical Director at Fresh Anointing House of Worship, overseeing the church’s technical production and media operations. With a keen eye for excellence and innovation, Paul helps create seamless worship experiences through sound, lighting, visuals, and digital platforms.

Working closely with worship and leadership teams, Paul ensures that technology supports the message and enhances the atmosphere for both in-person and online audiences. His leadership is marked by precision, creativity, and a commitment to excellence, helping FAHOW communicate the gospel clearly and effectively.

Jannai Washington

Director of Ministries/Pastoral Care

Pastor Washington serves as the Director of Ministries and Pastoral Care at Fresh Anointing House of Worship, providing leadership, oversight, and care for the spiritual health of the church community. With a heart for people and a passion for discipleship, Pastor Washington helps cultivate meaningful ministry experiences that encourage growth, healing, and connection.

Working closely with pastoral leadership and ministry teams, she supports members through prayer, guidance, and care, ensuring that FAHOW remains a place of compassion, support, and spiritual development. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to serving God’s people with wisdom, empathy, and excellence.

Kortney Coleman

Media + Marketing Director

Kortney Coleman serves as the Media and Marketing Director at Fresh Anointing House of Worship, leading the church’s creative vision, branding, and communication strategies. With a passion for storytelling and excellence, she oversees media production, digital content, and marketing initiatives that help share the message of Christ clearly and creatively.

Working alongside leadership and ministry teams, Kortney ensures that FAHOW’s voice and mission are communicated with consistency, clarity, and impact across all platforms. Her leadership is marked by creativity, intentionality, and a heart to connect people to God through compelling and purpose-driven media.

Jeremiah Andrews

Production Manager

Jeremiah Andrews serves as the Production Manager at Fresh Anointing House of Worship, overseeing the execution and coordination of worship and event production. With a strong focus on excellence and teamwork, he ensures that all production elements operate smoothly and support a distraction-free worship experience.

Working closely with the technical and worship teams, Jeremiah brings organization, leadership, and attention to detail to every service and event, helping create an environment where ministry can flow effectively.

Zaqueria Vickers

Media Assistant

Zaqueria Vickers serves as a Media Assistant at Fresh Anointing House of Worship, supporting media production and digital content initiatives across the ministry. With a creative eye and a heart to serve, she assists in capturing, organizing, and sharing moments that reflect the life and mission of FAHOW.
