WHAT TO EXPECT
There is something for everyone at FAHOW no matter your age or gender! If you have any questions that are not covered here or possibly not in another part of this web site, we encourage you to call our church office at (334) 613-3363.
WORSHIP TIMES
On Sundays, FAHOW has three morning worship services:
– Our first service begins with prayer at 8:00 AM and our service starts at 9:00 AM.
– Our second servicebegins with prayer at 11:00 AM and the service starts at 11:30 AM
– We have a midweek service that takes place on Wednesday evenings with worship & prayer from 6:00- 7:00 PM, and our service portion begins at 7:00 PM.
It is helpful if you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the start of these services to allow time for parking and to ensure an excellent seat.
PARKING & THE NEED FOR TRANSPORTATION
FAHOW is blessed with ample parking at both locations in front of both buildings. Handicap and visitor parking is available close to each building as well. Simply let one of our parking lot attenders know that you are either a visitor, or in need of a handicap spot, and they will direct you to them. Should you not have transportation, please call our church office at (334) 613-3363 to enquire about the potential of being picked up by our van ministry. You must make this call by the Thursday proceeding the Sunday you wish to attend in order to be added to the pick-up schedule.
DRESS
We do not have an official dress code so you are encouraged to come as you are. We are more concerned about meeting you than what you may or may not wear. You can dress up or down, what matters is that you come with a heart that is open to encountering God.
NURSERY for ages 0-5
FAHOW does provide a nursery for newborns to age five for our Sunday morning services, as well as for our Wednesday evening service. On Sunday mornings, the nursery opens at 9:45 AM for the service at our East Campus, and 11:15 AM for the service at our West campus. The Nursery remains open throughout the duration of both the morning services. The Nursery is located in the back of the sanctuary at our East Campus. The Nursery is also located in the side rooms that are facing Fleming Road at the West Campus, and can be accessed by the outside entrance there.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH for ages 6-11
Children’s Church for ages 6-11 is provided during both of our morning services at both of our campuses, as well as during our Wednesday evening service. It is known as “Promise Kids Kingdom,” and is accessed from the sanctuary at our East Campus, while at the West Campus, it is located directly across the street from our Fleming Road entrance in the FAHOW Activity Center. It opens each Sunday morning at 9:45 AM for the East Campus service, and for the West Campus, the children are dismissed to be escorted by our Promise Kids Kingdom workers at the conclusion of the Praise & Worship part of the service. The Children’s Church remains open through the duration of both morning services.
Both the nursery and children’s church require an adult to physically “sign-in” each child, and return to physically sign them out as well.
YOUTH SERVICES
There is a youth program known as “The Blaze” for young people ages 14- 18 years of age. They currently hold youth gatherings known as L.I.T.T. on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays at the conclusion of the morning service at the East Campus. These services generally last until 4:00 that afternoon, and a lunch is provided. They hold these meetings in the Fellowship Room that can be accessed through the church foyer. You may contact Gloria Townsley at (334)328-1774 for more information.
THE NATURE OF OUR SERVICES
As our name says, we are a “House of Worship” that seeks fresh experiences with the living God. We give a good portion of our services to praise and worship, followed by the ministry of the word and generally a time where we allow those that desire prayer to receive ministry at the end of our services.
Here are four key things we want to give expression to in each of our services:
