Pastor Kemi Searcy is a recognized and highly respected pastor, teacher, prayer warrior, and founder and president of Women in Ministry International (WIMI). She is also the co-pastor of the thriving, multi-racial, multi-generational, nondenominational Fresh House of Worship in Montgomery, AL. Sister Kemi, as her members and friends so affectionately call her, is known and loved as a woman with a heart after God and a tremendous love for His people. Her walk is characterized by a passionate desire to touch the heart of God through extravagant worship, powerful prayer, and a passionate pursuit to lead others into a deeper relationship with the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ. Her life is exemplified by the slogan, “to know Him and to make Him known.”
Sister Kemi is a native of Ghana, West Africa, which adds an international flavor to her ministry to people of all walks of life. After immigrating to the United States, she realized her need for the saving grace of the Lord Jesus. She surrendered her life to the Lord in 1988 in Atlanta, GA while watching Christian television. From that time until now, she has totally committed herself to seeking and serving God through a lifestyle of consecration, prayer, and worship. Her major messages include those involving bridal intimacy with Jesus Christ and total deliverance from the bondages of Satan and sin.
She has written the following books:
- Lord Teach My Hands to War– Receive instructions and marching orders from God on how to fight and win in spiritual warfare.
- Overcoming the Spirit of Condemnation– Learn how those who are in Christ Jesus can triumph over the condemnation of the enemy.
- Conquering the Spirit of Offense– Learn tools for overcoming past hurts, wounds, and bitter situations.
- You are Anointed to Win, You Cannot Lose– Be anchored in the knowledge that Jesus Christ loves you, that you walk in a victory he has already secured and that as you walk in obedience to him, you are destined to win at whatever you choose to do.
She has also collaborated with her husband on a book on courtship and marriage, called Marriage Matters.
She, along with her husband Kyle Searcy, pastor Fresh Anointing House of Worship, a church with over 2000 members and approximately 30 ministries committed to fulfilling the mandate of Christ to make disciples of every people group possible. She has hosted various women’s, couples’, and prayer retreats throughout the state of Alabama that have facilitated many different people cultivate a greater passion for Jesus, more fulfilled marriages, and more effectual prayer lives. She has also hosted several conferences, one of which includes Fragrant Oil-A Worship and Intercession Conference for Women in which she hosted with Floodgate recording artist, Rita Springer. She founded WIMI in 2010 in response to a need to mentor and train women for their callings in ministry.
She has been married to the anointed pastor, author, and teacher, Apostle Kyle Searcy, since 1991. They are the blessed parents of four children, Biola, Funmi, Paul, and Christopher, and the grandparents to four grandchildren, Nathan, Abigail, Samuel and Ginger-Elizabeth.
